It was a good week! - Week 65

To start off, it rained a ton so I was in "Washington" heaven. Hermana Flake and I went to visit a less active the night it was raining really hard, and the road was basically a raging river. We tried to jump over all the puddles, but ended up soaking wet. It is moments like that when I really love the work. We keep on working, rain or shine. Everyone we went to visit seemed so shocked to see someone out and about.

I had Mission Leadership Council this week and it was incredible as usual! There are so many leaders returning home from their missions this transfer. It is so incredible to see how people change so much through this service and I am so grateful to have been able to be called to serve.

Saturday night was transfer calls. As always, they were totally a shocker. So at around 7:45President Passey gave us a call. I saw the phone and looked at Hermana Flake and said "President Passey is calling". She didn't believe me until I answered the phone and was talking in a serious voice. I was shocked for 2 reasons 1.) Calls usually don't come until 9pm and 2.) President only calls if you are going to be training or are being called to a leadership position. So I was totally freaking out. He told Hermana Flake that she would be going to Deming New Mexico. I was so sad:( Sooo far away! I will barely see here. But here is the real shocker... he asked me to train a new missionary! Holy cow. I could barely speak. So needless to say for the rest of the weekend until Tuesday morning at about 7am I was very nervous.

It was really hard for Hermana Flake to say goodbye to everyone and man alive was it hard for me to say bye to her too. She is such an incredible sister and I will miss her so much. I have learned so much from her and am so grateful to have been able to serve with her.

So this morning (Tuesday) we got up and went to the transfer meeting briiiight and early at 5:30am. I found out that I am going to be training Hermana Garcia Valle. She is from El Salvador and is still learning English, so it will be an incredible opportunity for me to learn a lot more Spanish! My mind has been going crazy all day trying to keep up with her Spanish haha But she is so excited to be here and I am really excited to get to spend the next 2 transfers training and serving with her!

Sorry that this is such a short email, but our day has been crazy and we are still on the go!

I love y'all so much! Have an awesome week! Remember that the Lord loves you!

Love,
Hermana Lundquist
