So Sister Aleman is from Lima, Ohio. Spanish is her first language so i am stoked to learn more! She is 22 so we are having fun being "older missionaries". She is 5' 4" (so once again I'm the giant in the companionship). She has been serving for about 5 months. She was called English but got lucky enough to go Spanish for a little bit! And I love her!
This was a little bit of a rougher week for our investigators. A few of them aren't quite progressing like we would like them to. We have really been able to see the difference in when we make honest, sincere steps in getting an answer from Heavenly Father, versus just trying halfheartedly. Please keep the people here in the Gila Valley in your prayers.
Sean is doing incredibly! He was ordained to the Aaronic Priesthood this Sunday. There was a stake priesthood meeting Sunday night and he was able to go and loved it! I am still just as excited as ever for the progression he is making. He is so sincere about his desires to keep learning and making his way to the temple!
We heard a really cool story that I wanted to share this week. So there was a member working in the FBI and they were going to make a drug bust at a potential meth lab. They walked in and a man walked up to him smiling and being so kind and tried to lead him to the sitting room. He saw that they were dumping all the evidence in the trash and down the drains in the kitchen so he turned to run in there. As he turned he heard a voice in his head say "beware the evil behind the smiling eyes". He turned back to the man and he had a gun held up ready to shoot him. The FBI man was able to grab the gun away. The other man asked him "How did you know to turn around", and the FBI man said "i am not going to tell you". How blessed he was to be in tune to the spirit to hear that prompting. Just a reminder to everyone, Beware the evil behind the smiling eyes. Everyday we confront things that can potentially lead us to happiness or to destruction. A lot of time the evil looks like the better choice. I know that as we strive to be worthy to hear the promptings of the holy ghost, we will be protected.
I love you all! Sorry this is short but I sent some pictures(:
Have a good week and be safe!
