This Week - Week 14

This week was amazing! We worked super hard and were blessed for it for sure! I am so excited for this next coming week.

We get referrals every now and then from missionaries who have met someone that is not in their area, or someone that signs up to take the lessons or receive a book of Mormon, etc. So on Wednesday we got a referral sent to us. We just happened to have time right then to go check it out and she wasn't home, but her brother told us she would be back in an hour. So we went back and hour later and she was there. Her name is Sarah. She just recently moved here from Mexico. She is living in a home with her brother and two other family members and she has two little adorable children. She doesn't really talk a whole ton so it is hard to really get to know her needs, but we did learn that she has never really had a set religion in her life, or attended a specific church. She believes a lot of different things and is open to learn. We set up a return appointment for the next day, and when we got there she had chairs set out with her Book of Mormon, totally ready for us. WOOP! So we found out that she met missionaries while in Mexico and they gave her a book of Mormon and then got the address of her house in the US. So our first lesson with her we talked a bit about the Book of Mormon, but her kids were going crazy so we weren't really able to have a good solid lesson. We set up another appointment and that one was. INCREDIBLE! We had read a little bit of Alma 32 with her (my favorite chapter in the Book of Mormon) and talked about faith, we then shared the first lesson with her and she was totally loving it. She was so focused in even though her kids were running around and the spirit was so strong. At the end we invited her to be baptized and she said yes! We set a date for March 1! AHHHHHHH! She was so excited! She even gave the closing prayer and asked Heavenly Father to help her know if these things are true. It was incredible. Hermana Hardy and I walked out of the lesson and we had to say out loud to each other "don't scream don't scream". But the minute we got in the car we started screaming and hugging each other haha. Honestly best lesson I have ever had. We are going to go see her again tomorrow and I cant wait!

I'm sorry I totally ran out of time! I will tell more next week! But our lesson with "Sarah" was by far the highlight of the week. It is amazing how the Lord will bless you if you work hard and are obedient! Love you all so much! GO SEAHAWKS!

Love,
